Dubai is a unique destination that is both a dynamic business centre and a tourist paradise. From the timeless tranquility of the desert to the lively bustle of the souk, Dubai offers a kaleidoscope of attractions. Everything in Dubai is larger than life, whether it's the tallest building in the world or a palm tree shaped, man-made island. There are myriad shopping malls, luxurious hotels, a dizzying array of dining options and hip clubs and bars. Desert and City tours provide an enriching insight into the nature and culture of this fascinating country.
The neighbouring Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the Arab states of Qatar and Oman, have the same excellent beaches and warm Gulf Sea waters, but are not as developed as Dubai. However they do still offer an extremely good selection of accommodation. There are fantastic desert and mountain retreats offering a multitude of activities away from the beaches, but for most visitors the big attraction is the almost guaranteed year-round sun, sea and sand – especially in the European winter months.
Accommodation options are varied and plentiful. In Dubai there are more traditional hotels in the city centre, whilst a whole host of options are along and set back from Jumeirah Beach and the Marina. Desert hideaways and mountain retreats offer peace and tranquility, but on the whole, accommodation here is all about luxury.
